a group of amateur outdoor enthusiasts who have come together for mutual safety, fellowship, and the sharing of experiences, expertise, and ideas in a safe, supportive, sober, drug-free and tobacco-free environment. Membership is free and open to anyone abiding by our rules of conduct. Our activities are generally geared toward adults in good physical health, although some events are suitable for children too.
Founded in March, 1999, our group currently has 129 members (47% women; 53% men). Our ages range from 13 to 63, and our average age is 38. Most of our members (81%) are located in the greater Portland/Vancouver area; others are located in the Willamette Valley, Columbia River Gorge, Southwest Washington, Eastern Oregon, and Northern California.

- Overnight backpacking
- Visits to local hot-springs
- Monthly in-town socials

- Cross country skiing
- River floating / white-water
- Various other outdoor activities

of our group are simple:
- Absolutely no recreational drugs on our outings or gatherings
- Alcohol is prohibited on our outdoor outings
- No use of tobacco on our outings or gatherings
- Respect and protect our environment
- Most importantly: Treat others as you would have them treat you
